Gail S. Verona is an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in the Department of Educational Theory, Policy and Administration.  Dr. Verona's work centers on providing clinical supervision and support for educational administration and supervision programs, including the supervision of principal and superintendent certification internships, teaching graduate level courses in curriculum and supervision, and providing coordination and support of program activities. Dr. Verona earned her doctoral degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Rutgers University in 2001 and has an extensive background in K-12 leadership and curriculum development, including serving as superintendent and principal.

Beth C. Rubin, a former public school social studies teacher, is Professor of Education and chair of the department of Educational Theory, Policy and Administration at Rutgers GSE.  She uses critical, sociocultural frameworks and qualitative tools to investigate how young people develop, both as learners and as citizens, amid the interwoven contexts of classroom, school, and community. Dr. Rubin joins with educators and youth, drawing on social design methodology, to reimagine social studies and civic education as spaces to disrupt oppression and nurture connection and critical engagement, most recently through the Spencer Foundation funded Civically Engaged Districts Project.

Dr. Maqueda Randall-Weeks is the Faculty Director of Clinical Experiences, as well as a GSE-CSPN Partner Leader and Assistant Professor of Professional Practice at Rutgers GSE. Over the past 25 years, she has worked as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, district literacy coach/coordinator, NJDOE early literacy program coordinator, Assistant Superintendent for Early Learning, and national urban educational leadership consultant. In her various roles as an educator, Maqueda has been a consistent advocate for high quality, engaging, and supportive educational experiences and supports for both students and teachers.

Heather Ngoma is the Founding Director of the Rutgers GSE Alternate Route Teacher Training Program for the State of New Jersey, a program which has helped more than 2,000 diverse career changers, recent college graduates and other aspiring education professionals become licensed teachers in New Jersey. She is responsible for the program vision-setting, overall program coordination and supervision of Rutgers Alternate Route training sites throughout New Jersey.

She has over 25 years of experience collaborating with educators across New Jersey to drive education innovation.

Jeanette McCreary serves as the primary manager of the fiscal, administrative, and policy operations associated with the GSE Teacher Education Programs including Traditional Licensure and Alternate Route Programs.

Jeanette has over 20 years’ experience working at Rutgers University. She has managed over $20 million dollars in funding from federal and state agencies. Additionally, she has planned and facilitated hundreds of meetings, professional development sessions, and conferences serving educators across the tri-state area.

Sharlene Laud has been working in education since graduating from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Political Science in 2013. After graduation, Sharlene relocated to Houston, Texas to begin her career as an alternatively certified elementary school teacher for the Houston Independent School District (HISD), the seventh-largest largest district in the country. While teaching with HISD, Sharlene quickly learned about the diversity in the city of Houston and the needs of the students, which moved her to explore opportunities in teacher education preparation. At the University of Houston, Sharlene was part of the piloting team for the city’s grow-your-own teacher program, Teach Forward Houston. Sharlene oversaw the retention of the teachers-in-training, as well as other university undergraduates, through her work at the student support office, the Urban Experience Program.

Dr. Nora Hyland is the Associate Dean and Faculty Director of Teacher Education at the GSE since 2017 and on the faculty of Learning and Teaching for 18 years. During her more than 20 years in higher education (at Rutgers, Brooklyn College, University of Delaware, and University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign) has focused on teacher preparation and anti-racist and equity pedagogy. of Delaware.  She was an elementary school teacher, reading specialist, special educator, and after school program coordinator in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, NY for ten years, and has done extensive work as an educational and grants consultant to schools across the country.

Jalise Clark is an Administrative Coordinator for the Teacher Education Program at the Graduate School of Education at Rutgers University. She provides essential support to the Teacher Education program and helps coordinate all three levels of clinical work for students in partner and nonpartner districts. Prior to assuming her current role, she served as an Administrator for the Student Affairs and Well-being department at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University in Nutley, NJ. She holds a B.A. in Communications from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania.
