Land and Peoples Acknowledgement

Through ongoing efforts to abolish racism and center authentic community-based knowledge toward a more equitable and just world, Rutgers Graduate School of Education honors the Indigenous caretakers of these lands and waters, Indigenous and Black elders who lived on these lands and were forcibly removed or enslaved, and the Indigenous and Black communities that are here today. We aim to use our teaching, scholarship, and service toward lifting the voices of members of these communities in partnership with and support of community-driven organizations aimed at economic, social, and political empowerment of BIPOC communities.
